Notice for Foreign Language Examination (English), Fall 2015

This is to inform you of the application procedure for Foreign Language Examination for Fall Semester, 2015.
Those who want to take foreign language examination have to apply for it within the designated period below. Please check the specific information and follow the application procedure.

1. Date of Test : Aug. 7th(Fri), 2015 (5:00 pm – 6:10pm (Total 70 min.))
    - All the examinees should arrive at the test site 10 minutes before the test.

2. Place of Examination : The place for examination will be announced later on our website.
    - As soon as the application is completed, the place for test will be posted on the graduate school website.

3. Application Period and Schedule of Examination
  a. Period of Application and Payment : Jul.16th(Thu) ~ Jul.20th(Mon), 2015 (For 3 days)
  b. Procedure for Application : Login to the AIMS2 website → ‘Academic Information for Graduate School' → ‘Graduation' (on the top) → Apply for Foreign Language Examination (on the left side)
  c. Application Fee : KRW 15,000
  d. Procedure for payment : After completing the application through AIMS2, please send the application fee to the account stated below.
    - The Account Number : SC Bank (Standard Chartered Bank) 632-15-000373 (Account Holder Name : Ajou University(General Graduate school)
    - Please send the money to the account with your name and the department that you affiliated
    - In conclusion, all the examinees have to do the online application and pay the application fee to the account mentioned above within the designated period to finish the application process.

4. Qualification for Examination : Enrolled students, Students who have completed all required courses, Students on leave of absence in General Graduate school.
    - In case of foreign students using English as a native language in their home country, they don’t have any qualification to take examination. Only for foreign students who are not using English in their country can take the test.

5. Foreign Language (English) Test
    - Subjects for test : English (Grammar, Vocabulary, Reading)
    - The number of questions : 50 questions / objective test 4 choices
    - Acceptance Criteria : (Master’s program) 60 points or higher out of the total of 100 points
                                     (Doctorate & Integrated program) 70 points or higher out of the total of 100 points

6. Notes
    - Please bring the pen for computer, correction tapes and identity card (Student ID card, Registration card, driver’s license) : If you do not have your identity card, you will be restricted to take the test.
    - After starting the test (after 5:00pm), examinees can’t enter the test sites and anyone can’t go out of a test site until the finish time for test.
    - The application fee will be refunded only in case that examinees apply for cancellation before Aug.6th(Thu).
    - The announcement of examination : After Aug.14th(Fri) [Login to the AIMS2 website → ‘Academic Information for Graduate School' → Qualifying Examination/Thesis information → You can check the results, Pass or Fail.]
