Urban Architect Research(Professor: Je, Hae-sung)
Among the works implemented by Urban Architect Research are research & investigation of urban design, urban development, site planning, health & welfare facility plan, housing plan and architectural design and policy design and planning based on research outcome. With regard to urban and architecture design, the study to identify the planning, planning data, design information and resident’s demand is conducted to produce academical and theoretical data. Moreover, provision of guideline and alternative for the client, designer and policy-maker while implementing own urban design, urban development and architectural planning at a time.
Architecture planning research(Professor: Kwon, Soon-jung)
Among the works implemented by Architecture Planning Research are research & investigation of site planning, health & welfare facility plan and architectural design and policy proposal & plan and design based on such outcome. Furthermore, the study specialized in residential complex and nursing home is implemented in preparation for aging society which is expected to use comprehensively. It also intends to cultivate the competitive experts who complete practical training
Sustainable urban architect research(Professor Lee, Kyun-in)
The research team led by Professor Lee, Kyu-in implements the study in an effort to incorporate the eco-friendly and sustainable development concept which has been emerging in the 21st century into urban design, district unit planning, site plan, architecture plan and design. It’s intended to integrate the outcome from the study on sustainable housing development and Korean traditional housing development which has been continued since mid-1990 to Korea’s built environment construction. Such outcome has been applied to Yongin Shingal Saecheonnyn site, Sangam new town, rent apartment in Seoul Metropolitan area, Pangyo new town, Paju Unjung urban plan and Gimpo Unjung new toen plan for accomplishing the environment-friendly housing site and the study will further continue to realize the sustainable housing site
Architecture Urban design Research(Professor Han, Ji-hyung)
Among the works implemented by Architecture Planning Research are study and practical verification for comprehensive understanding approach to architecture and urban territory. The study also includes unified design methodology for urban space, history and theory on urban formation based on Interdisiplinary approach, architectural guideline and institution for urban landscaping, urban space design and urban design methodology, relations between architectural type and urban morphology. It’s aimed at cultivating the experts and designers in the area of architecture and urban issues
Urban Research(Professor: Kim, Ji-hyup)
Urban Research intends to understand the urban policy, law and institution which develop the urban environment and study the urban plan and design method which are applicable to Korea. To that end, it provides the opportunities of experiencing the real projects to cultivate the student to competitive architect / expert through the practice in addition to the theoretical knowledge.
Traffic engineering & operation lab(Professor : Oh, Young-tae)
Work scope includes all technical activities, plans, design, construction operation and maintenance needed to build and operate the traffic system, focusing particularly on ITS, signaling control & operation system and highway traffic control system
Traffic plan and information system lab(Professor Choi, Kee-ju)
The study includes spatial/physical layout and economic feasibility of traffic facilities including road, railroad and airport. More specifically, alignment plan and assessment of main road, modeling for establishing the short & long-term regional traffic plan and basic theory and the study on processing the various traffic information collected from the roads.
It also includes application of GIS to traffic and development of new traffic information system by integrating topographic and attribute data
